Item Description
9x17.25x2" deep box manufactured for the 1962-1964 space odyssey Cartoon. "Space Angel" was infamous for having animation w/super-imposed live-action mouths moving, thus delivering the character lines. The same Synchro-Vox lip technique as Clutch Cargo, which was the first cartoon produced by the same studio, Cambia Prod. Art for the series was provided by Alex Toth who also drew a Space Angel story in Jack & Jill magazine to promote the cartoon series. This game was manufactured by Transogram copyright 1965 T.V. Comics Inc. Board has space system design w/rockets and satellites. Insert is designed to look like space control room w/large screen having a punch-out spinner on each side of screen having four punch out spaceships. Spaceships have been punched out and thusly there are some tears to surface paper/cardboard. Spinner is missing. Bottom right hand corner of insert has a 2x3.25" piece torn and reattached with tape. No instruction sheet included, game has seven plastic stands, one cardboard piece and four sets of star cards and six "no move" cards. Insert is G/VG. Board is Exc. Upper left box lid corner is split and there is a section of soiling on title. Box is Fine. A rare game and one of only a few items produced for this show.
