Item Description
Opening on July 17, 1967 at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, CA. the "Joint Show" was the first of its kind. It featured the so called "Big Five" of the prominent psychedelic poster artists, all displayed at a single show. Each of the five artists - Wes Wilson, Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse created a poster exclusively for this show. Offered here is Wes Wilson's poster design, a large 25x37.5" stiff paper poster done in reflective metallic tones and showing a nude woman, her body comprised of text regarding the artists and the show. In her hand she holds a yin and yang symbol, which is comprised of text and reads "Joint Show." This is the Type 3 first printing, printed on foil stock. Poster shows moderate wear w/a 1" tear along upper right margin and scattered color rubs/creases along margins and at corners. Scattered handling wear. VG overall, but poster still displays well w/a classic Wilson design.
