c. 1975. Complete set of five rings in a set issued by Stan Toy Co. The ring bases are of iodized aluminum w/bands that expand. Examples seen here include Cornelius, Zira and Dr. Zaius w/finishes in gold luster and Galen and Urko w/black finish. The character images are on paper stickers and because of the nature of the adhesive on the underside there is lt. aging to the bkg. areas, and does not affect the portrait areas. NM/Mint. Comes w/original 6.75x1.5x1" deep box that shows all characters featured on the rings, has die-cut lid for store display and includes foam insert in which rings can be displayed. Box shows moderate wear, w/two corner splits. VG. Individual rings in this set are rare, a full set being very rare and the box is extremely rare and the only example we've seen in our 47 years.
