Item Description
4x9" mailing envelope accompanied by two 8.5x11" typed letters on "Columbia Pictures Corporation" letterhead in addition to "Rules And Regulations" enclosure plus eleven 2.5x5" cards. Envelope and correspondence are directed to the same youth leader. One letter and one card designate him as "Acting Captain" of local Akron, OH. club. Second letter designates him as a full "Captain" and is dated May 7, 1932. This letter came w/10 membership application cards plus further details on formation of the local club coordinated to a local movie theater. Card designating youth as "Acting Captain" includes small circle photo portrait of Buck Jones as "National Chief." Half of the member application cards have names entered in pencil while the other half are unused. Mailing envelope has May 9, 1932 postmark and shows obvious aging/wear. VG. Letters have original fold creases but are VF. Member cards are Exc. All items are early and scarce.
