Two totally different Ralston premiums issued in 1936. Both come w/original 1.75x8-5/8x.75" deep cardboard mailers w/Tom Mix name on front and instructions on back. One has additional image of Tom Mix and reads "Here's Your Ralston Straight Shooters' Rocket Parachute From Tom Mix" while other does not have picture or this text but does include the Tom Mix brand. Mailers have aging/wear, each missing end flaps one one side. Good overall. Comes w/pair of 8.5" long balsa wood/stiff paper rocket parachute launchers w/both varieties of die-cut metal pieces that attached to the tissue paper parachutes and glossy cardboard and stiff paper attachments. One metal piece is designed as paratrooper and the other is much scarcer variety cowboy holding his hat, blue on one side, red on the other. Balsa boards have some lt. aging but are VF- Exc. overall. Other pieces have trace of lt. wear/aging. Fine. Great concept and design. Comes w/four different clipped comic strip newspaper ads, each showing the premium. Fine-VF.
