Item Description
6x8" with 32 pages by David McKay Company copyright 1931. As noted in the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide "First Disney Book By Strict Definition." Illustrated text refers to Clarabelle Cow as Carolyn and Horace Horsecollar as Henry. The name Donald Duck appears with a non-costumed generic duck on back cover and inside, not in the context of the character that later debuted in the Wise Little Hen. Book features choice full color art on every page. Title page has inked name. Pages have light scattered margin wear and tiny corner tip bumps but contents remain quite clean. Light cover aging, has several extremely faint corner crease lines that do not go through the entire cover and are really only visible in reflected light. Extreme cover edges have some tiny scattered surface paper nicks with orange color touch-ups only noticeable when viewed closely. Book has tight binding. Still a VF copy of this historic book.
