Item Description
Lot of three promotional items for the 1939 western drama directed by Cecil B. DeMille that starred Barbara Stanwyck and Joel McCrea. Based on the novel "Trouble Shooter" by Ernest Haycox, the film is about the building of the railroad across the American West. First is 3x9.25" silk-screened ribbon that reads "Coming! Cecil B. DeMille's 'Union Pacific' - Barbara Stanwyck - Joel McCrea" and has nice image of steaming locomotive. Ribbon is slightly frayed at edges and has some scattered aging. Fine. Next is 1.5" die-cut brass shield w/diagonal center design and inscription "Official Souvenir Golden Spike Days." Retains near full luster and is Exc. Scarce limited issue. Last is 2" long die-cut brass in the shape of a railroad spike w/text reading "Omaha 1939 - Golden Spike Days." Some luster loss. Fine. See "Union Pacific" movie promo pin #1419.
