Item Description
6.25x15" plastic production casing-covered bagatelle w/working mechanism and six marbles to show how toy would work. Playing field has been hand-painted by Marx factory artist and shows four different sets of Laurel and Hardy images, including Laurel throwing pie at Hardy, Laurel slipping on banana peel, paint can falling from ladder onto Hardy's head, Hardy hitting Laurel and Laurel smacking Hardy w/long board. Large "Laurel And Hardy" hand-painted text at top. 1962. Marx logo has been cut out and applied to board after painting. Aluminum back has "G88" plastic label and "X-7967 - Erie - 3-6-62" text in grease pencil. Prototype was produced at the Erie, PA. plant. Toy was never produced. Lt. wear but VF overall.
