Item Description
Former slave with discarded/broken shackles on the ground kneels and kisses Lincoln’s hand as his family looks on. 13.5x17.5” vintage frame with glass and foam core backing. Print is 9.5x14” trimmed but with .5” or larger margins. Some tiny archival repairs on top reverse edge and just a small .5x1.25” replacement on bottom right corner. Extremely bright and clean. Additional caption is “Proclaimed January 1st 1863, By Abraham Lincoln, President Of The United States.” Plus Biblical reference “Proclaim Liberty Throughout The Land Unto All The Inhabitants Thereof”… “Lev XXV 10”.
