Item Description
This most unusual piece came from a small town in north central Ohio and was originally used by an ardent Democrat whose barber shop was covered in FDR/NRA paraphernalia. The lower 5” diameter glass globe has “NRA” letters and a “NRA Member” 1.5” circular paper mounted on the interior. The woman’s figural glass head, 6.5” front to back, has its paint restored to original colors by an Annapolis artist. The hollow metal 4” diameter pole is original and has just a pair of 2” hairline scratches to the back side. A pair of black metal 4” brackets hold the pole, 26” tall in total, to a 20” tall wood display plaque .75” thick. The piece has a new electric cord and when plugged in a bulb in the woman’s head and another in the bottom paneled dome blink on and off. A great display piece and certainly a rare c. 1933 NRA associated artifact.
