Item Description
10.75x12.5” thin art board has 10x12” india ink image area dated 1957 in pencil. Art is titled “Mesa Golf 1880” and has cowboy in chaps at upper right trying to golf through cactus as other cowboys shoot guns on golf course. Text on bottom half uses humor to promote Mesa, Arizona businesses. Art is signed at right margin and pure Calkins, w/his name also written in pencil on engravers sticker on back. Lt. dust soil and a few faint moisture marks in center. Overall Fine. Nice ink work by the legendary creator.
