In conjunction with a post-season visit by the AL Champion Detroit Tigers, Cabanas brand cigarettes issued this set. 35 cards are known in the set which featured three teams: Detroit Tigers, Almendares and Habana. Each team had its own specific border design/color around portrait photo image on the front with the player's name and position below. Text on back references both Cuban and American players and promotes Cabanas cigarettes. Cards measure 1.5x2.25". This card is from the Habana Lions subset. We sold a lesser grade example (designated just "Authentic") in our July 2012 auction for $626.
