It was active for two years but following FDR's land slide re-election in 1936 it greatly reduced it's activities. The executive committee included former Democratic Presidential nominee's John W. Davis and Al Smith. It was also supported by wealthy businessman Irenee du Pont. In 1934 General Butler claimed this group was plotting to overthrow the government and asked him to lead the coup.
