Auction #208 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1277 in auction 208
Item Description
In 1937 FDR proposed a legislative initiative to add more justices to the Supreme Court. His goal was to create a pro-New Deal majority on the bench. These four buttons demonstrate the opposition to the plan. First is 13/16" litho reading "Keep The Supreme Court Out Of Politics." This was made by Geraghty. Next is "Save The Constitution" in two different color combinations. These are each 1" wide with W&H back paper. Last is 1.75" "Preserve The Constitution." Slight oxidation on the reverse metal but the fronts of all four pieces are NM displaying Mint.
