Hake #2015. We rate this among the best dozen Truman buttons. It is in remarkable condition given its size, but we must specify three very tiny imperfections. There is a pinpoint tan dot on the background below the "Y" of "Harry." There is a 1/8" craze hairline crossing the bottom of the "U" in "Truman." This barely breaks the celluloid surface. Lastly there is an even smaller 1/16" mark on the far right background inward from the last two letters of his name. This tiny mark has a 1/16" air dot surrounding it. On the plus side, we've seen few 4" buttons with the surface so free of marks. The centering is perfect and the cello has Exc. gloss. A most impressive button and we believe a very few of the known examples would surpass this in overall condition and appearance. Rare.
