Item Description
First is 3.25" worn by sales clerks and with text "Let's Go Fishing JC Higgins." This is c. late 1930s with a metal strip across the reverse holding the brass bar pin. Next is 1.25" c. 1950s and reading "Fishermen Recognition Award/San Juan/Caught In The Waters Off Puerto Rico A Bonefish/Hobbyland Sports Center." Next is 2" reading "I.G.F.A. First World Angling Conference Cap D'Agde, France 1984." Button pictures various types of saltwater fish. This was issued by the International Game Fish Association. The group was founded in 1939. This was the first conference to bring together the angling and scientific communities. It laid the groundwork for the World Recreational Fishing Conference (WRFC). All three are Exc. displaying Mint and the only examples we've seen of each.
