Item Description
These range from 3" button in row one to 1" button in the bottom row. Items span the 1930s to 1959. First is "'Blue Coal'" name button for an apparent coal dealer convention in Atlantic City. Second is WWII era plastic badge reading "Coal Heating Service." Next is c. 1950 and reads "You Just Paid 10¢ Tax On Each Gallon." Next is dated and reads "Tax Collector/Oilmen 1941 Connecticut." Next is from 1959 "International Petroleum Exposition" (see next two items). Next is from "Oil Capital Of North Dakota" for a 1952 jubilee. Next is an oil stone with celluloid top promoting a fuel oil company. Next are four porcelain disks each 1.5" dia. These were somehow used in conjunction with gasoline pumps. Fronts are porcelain enamel. Reverses are metal with a treaded post and a metal fastener. Next is a celluloid "Change Oil" tag c. 1930s. As bonuses there is a 1936 "Truck Drivers" union button and a c. 1950s safety button from New Jersey. All items display clean and Exc. with minor defects as mentioned. A nice group.
