In 1932 the Gem Clay Forming Co. produced a series of Tarzan plaster statues which were offered by various sponsors. This particular premium is for "The Foulds Milling Co." Two varieties of statues were produced for Tarzan, w/and w/o name on front of base. Offered here are two different size varieties (as made) of the statue w/o "Tarzan" name base. Statues are 4.5" and 4.75" tall. Scattered lt. age spotting to smaller statue, VF/Exc. Larger statue has neck repair and 1/8" flake on arm. Displays Fine. Statues come w/original paint palette w/Gem Clay Forming Co. imprint and instructions on reverse, as well as original paint brush. Both show wear from use and are Fine. Partial original mailing box w/Foulds mailing label just comes along. Last item in lot is 9-1/8x11.5" single-sided insert sheet on glossy paper. Features image of the "No. 1" statue set offered here as well as "No. 2 - Kala." Sheet also has color chart and advertises Foulds products. Has scattered wear along original fold lines and spots of coloring on bottom third. VG. Paper is scarce.
