6-7/8x8-7/8" cardboard fan on wooden stick. Promotes "Know Toledo Contest" offering $500 cash prize to contestants. One side has nice graphics promoting comic strips in newspaper and includes images of Tarzan, Wash Tubbs, Freckles, Salesman Sam, Tailspin Tommy, Major Hoople, Little Mary Mix-Up, Out Our Way, the Newfangles and Boots. Dust soiling w/lt. creasing. 1" streak moisture mark runs along right side. Break to wooden handle has been repaired. VG. Despite problems, a scarce comic strip promotional item w/nice graphics.
