Item Description
First are a pair of tin tobacco tags. First is 1-5/8" wide and reads "American Navy." Second is 1.25" and reads "Battleship." A little paint wear on this. Both have a pair of prongs on the reverse. Celluloid items are 1" to 2-1/8". First is beautiful sepia showing ship "Ohio" set within ornate brass frame. Next reads "Kearsarge And Alabama Celebration" from New Hampshire 1900. This has about a half a dozen small craze lines but remains extremely clean. Next is beautiful 1.75" showing "U.S.S. Nebraska" dated for "Keel Laid" 1902 and issued by a Seattle company. Next is for the same ship but this is for its launching with date of October 7, 1904. Next is "U.S. Scout Cruiser Milwaukee." A little color fade and a little light age wear plus cello is just a hair concave. This is c. WWI. Next is beautiful sepia with initials for the fraternal group "Red Men." The ship is unidentified. Last is 1.25" button for "For U.S. Senator George Edmund Foss." He was a 1918 Illinois candidate. Early and for the most part rare pieces. See Launch items #842.
