Item Description
First is 1.25" with W&H paper picturing Elwell Otis, Major General of Volunteers in the Philippines in the 1898 and then the second Military Governor of the Philippines. Two faint gray dots on the circle, very minor. Next are 12 of 35 buttons in the W&H series picturing war ships. In this group the battleships are: Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Oregon, Texas. The cruisers are: Brooklyn, Columbia, Newark, New York. In addition there is the U.S. Ram Katahdin. The U.S. Dynamite Cruiser Vesuvius. Lastly, the U.S. Torpedo Boat Cushing. Small traces of age on those in row one, number one and number three. In row two, the first one, small marks on the second and third were dust now removed. In row four, first one has tiny mark on lower right edge and the last in that row has very faint age marks near the outer edge. This one has a couple tiny indent lines showing only in reflected light. The group still displays extremely Fine to Mint. There are no back papers on two of the twelve but present on the others.
