Item Description
2-1/8". Metal reverse has heavy layer of oxidation but the button has no stain. Button red rim is faded but the rest of the celluloid remains Exc. Button specifies "Co. 'L' First Nebraska" as well as location of where they served "Malolos, P.I., April, 1899." These men were among 275,000 Americans, about 200,000 volunteers who served in the Spanish-American War. Photo shows the men in uniform with many of them holding rifles. Displays Mint except for the slight fade on the upper red stripe. Rare.
