Item Description
9" tall tin toy that came in several styles and this is variety w/body in gunmetal gray w/black hands and purple feet. Nomura, Japan. c. 1957. Designed w/wire coil antenna attached to head w/metal radar dish w/lightbulb at center that extends from raised panel on back. Robot holds metal wrench in one hand and is nicely detailed w/lightbulbs for eyes. Remote control box is shaped like robot's head and is attached via replaced thin wire. Eyes light as does blinking light on radar dish and robot walks. Remote control box shows wear w/scattered small paint nicks/scratches and is Fine overall. Robot is glossy and Exc. Classic robot toy.
