Item Description
Each button is 15/16" and while unmarked they have a Parisian Novelty collet. Each has the word "Elect" followed by a character name, followed by the text "Oopmah In The Comic Election" with very tiny text of sponsoring newspaper "©The Courier-Journal And Times." 14 of these 27 have a tiny gray mark varying from almost being invisible to several that are more obvious. All remain bright and with full gloss. The major character names include Dick Tracy and Tarzan but we will list them all for posterity: Andy Gump, Apple Mary, Aunt Het, Ben Webster, Caspar Milquetoast, Dan Dunn, Dick Tracy, Fuller Phun, Hambone, 'Honest' Geo. Bungle, Henry, Jane Arden, Jiggs, Johnny Starbar, Lem Sputterfuss, Pete The Tramp, Poor Pa, Rollin' Stone, Rudy Nebb, Skipper Dan Withers, Skippy, Smitty, Tailspin Tommy, Tarzan, Tillie The Toiler, Uncle Walt Wallet, Van Boring. From the Hake Collection and comes with Hake's COA. Rare local issues.
