2.25x4.75x1” deep mailing box contains complete Wheaties premium from 1941 with exception of a brown balloon which disintegrated. Top of box includes illustration of 3 children at a microphone, side panels depict various scenes in which the items of this premium could be used to produce sound effects including a speeding train, thunderstorm, fire truck, etc. Back of box has blank area for mailing label and has microphone illustration. Box is Mint. Kit includes a 4.5x12.5” bw sheet with image of a microphone. This was to be cut out and wrapped around the mailing box and a broom handle was then inserted into one end to serve as the complete microphone. As originally packaged in the box, this sheet has scattered margin wear but still VF. There is a large 10x27” two-sided paper with complete instructions and “Spy Hunt” script. Script was to be performed by children who were to use the items in this kit to produce the sound effects. Sheet has edge creases as originally folded. The other items in this kit include 2 different painted tin whistles, small piece of sand paper, sheet of orange cellophane paper. A small piece of rubber from the balloon adhered to one side of the blue whistle, o/w pieces are Exc. One of the rarest Jack Armstrong premiums. Extremely rare in this unused condition.
