Item Description
Issued in 2 distinct versions, this is child's size suede cloth version from 1934. Front has movable visor unit with plastic eye cover insert. Visor border reads "Buck Rogers 25th Century" along with matched pair of images of him flying through space and holding a ray gun. There are a pair of ear flaps which feature different Buck image. These are also marked "A Daisy Product." Has chin strap with snap closure. Originally issued with a small separate accent piece attached to top back center which is now gone but in no way affects appearance for display. The suede covering has stiffened with age and has all-over scattered flaking. Most of this appears on top surface so not readily visible when viewed straight-on or from either side. The ear flaps have some very neat glue reinforcements to hairlines and this is only noticeable upon close inspection. Right side has slight fade to the suede material. While helmet shows moderate scattered wear/aging, still quite nice for display and rare. VF. One of the few we have offered in our 42 years.
