11x14" Silver Gelatin custom darkroom print on museum-quality double-weight fiber paper. This photo shows Jimi Hendrix w/his guitar during the second sound check at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival (Hendrix's first US show). Photographed by Jim Marshall (for Marshall biography, see item #2924)Marshall is also noted for his famous photograph of Hendrix setting his guitar on fire at this festival. Portrait has white border margin and Marshall has written the following in black ink - "Jimi - 6-17-67" and has signed his name and dated print "1994" at lower right. Mat has matching text in pencil. Back of mat has Marshall's studio stamp and inked date. Superb for framing and display. NM.
