Item Description
Two separate pieces of original art used to produce stamp #56 in this 1963 Topps issue. Series features 80 different stamps including presidents, sports stars, explorers, pioneers, etc. First piece is 3.5x5" thin glossy paper sheet w/applied 1.5x2.5" detailed original art panel done in pen and ink. This is a battle scene w/paste-on text strip reading "A Famous American Frontiersman, Davy Crockett Was Killed When Mexico Attacked The Alamo In 1836." Second is 2x2.25" thin art board panel w/original painted art portrait of Davy and applied to a clear plastic sheet for printing process. This image was added to the designated circle area of the stamp design. All original art is Exc. A unique item that comes direct from The Topps Vault and comes with their official COA.
