Original 27x39.25" concert poster for Nov. 29, 1984 performance at the Teatro Nazionale, Piazza Piemonte in Milano, Italy. Poster features large bw photo by Steve Schapiro of Zappa and text in Italian. Additional text at bottom seems to indicate this concert was to be televised on local Italian TV. Concert was part of Zappa's 20th Anniversary 1984 World Tour that started July 7, 1984 at the Palace Theater in LA and ended on Dec. 23 at the Universal Amphitheater in Universal City, CA. While this concert poster was printed and displayed, the concert was ultimately cancelled, as were several other dates in Italy and other European dates, based on low tickets sales and an unfortunate lack of interest. Zappa did play in Milan on Oct. 8, 1984 and at another Italian venue on Oct. 15, but this Nov. 29 concert never came to be. Poster is rolled and has some handling wear along margins and at corners.
