Lot of six 2.5x4x1" deep boxes issued by Comics Novelty Candy Corp., 1950s. ACC# R437. Each box features Joe Palooka as boxer on top and two side panels. Five have perforated back panel boxer card. These are Jack Johnson, John L. Sullivan, Stanley Ketchel, Benny Leonard, Battling Nelson. Each includes boxer bio/stats. Sixth box features Palooka on the back but not perforated as the others. All have noticeable wear, aging and staining. Four still contain original contents of toy and candy, resulting in the noted staining. Sullivan box has a loose end flap. For the most part front and back art remains clean, especially the boxer cards. Despite the staining, all color remains strong, boxes still display VG to Fine as is.
