3" dia. button has photo of counter culture leader and psychedelic drug advocate Leary, surrounded by "Turn-On To Leary!" text at top and "The Politics Of Ecstasy" at bottom, promoting Leary's first book of the same name, published in 1968. The book dealt w/the psychedelic movement and its effects on the human consciousness as well as his views on the social and political ramifications of psychedelic and mystical experiments. The book also included Leary's interview for Playboy magazine in which he extolled the sexual power of LSD. Reverse has tiny trace of oxidation but front remains totally bright and glossy. Displays Exc. Rare and the only example of this button we've seen in our 47 years. An extreme rarity for the counter culture completist.
