Item Description
9” wide by 3” deep by 12.5” tall. 4” tall bust of McKinley sits at top with text below “Wm. McKinley/Born Jan. 29, 1843/Died Sept. 14, 1901/His Last Words Were/It Is God’s Way/His Will Be Done.” 2.75” dia. original wind-up clock appears at center. Glass cover has three 1” scratch lines at upper left and lower right has .25x.75” dirt smudge on inner surface. Clock is over wound and knob to set the hands is missing from reverse. A spread eagle appears above clock and is flanked by US flags. Two 5.5” tall figures appear on either side representing a soldier and sailor. A cannon and cannonballs appear behind the sailor. Nice overall detail to this iron casting. Rear edge of right base has .25” flake of missing metal but overall the casting remains Exc. Only second we’ve seen.
