Item Description
12” tall fabric over firm interior, probably cotton. He wears well tailored black suit with separate white collar, black and white necktie and black vest. One lose stitch at bottom of vest easily re-stitched. Feet, hands and head are solid and probably painted paper mache. Facial features are very accurate and realistic. Coat lapel holds 13/16” litho button “Dewey For President” from 1944 by Bastian Bros. Button has some tiny dots of paint wear. Hand crafted one of a kind and in VF condition. Our consignor told us this was made by members of a State College (Penn State) doll club. Comes with metal doll stand as figure will not quite balance to stand independently.
