Auction #209 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1144 in auction 209
Item Description
Stiff card 5.25x8.25” holds clip on black fabric bowtie on card showing “The Colonel” and looking much like Col. Sanders of fried chicken fame. Card names maker “Smith & Logsdon – Louisville, Ky.” Card has center crease and set of tiny staple holes near bottom, but remains totally clean holding mint bowtie. We believe this piece dates to Oct. 4, 1960 when JFK spoke in Indianapolis and endorsed State Senator Matt Welsh for Governor. A scarce coattail. VF.
