Item Description
Pair of boxed Milton Bradley games, both No. 4359 and ©1927. First is larger 8.5x17x1.5" deep box that contains complete parts including 12 die-cut cardboard playing pieces including four pieces for Emily Marie doll, 12 wooden stands, wooden dice cup, and tiny pair of dice. Pieces are VF overall. Wonderful lid graphics by creator Harold Gray have Annie running w/Emily Marie doll followed by Sandy, who is chased by angry hornets. Lid side panels also feature action scenes including Annie diving, Sandy seeing skunk, and Annie poking boy in rear end w/pitchfork. Lid has scattered edge wear w/some surface paper flakes/chips but box remains tight and is Fine overall. 16-1/8x16-3/8" game board w/nice Harold Gray graphics include Annie w/Sandy and Emily Marie at center and corners include images of Annie as boxer and Sandy as trainer, Annie and Sandy w/watermelon, all three characters sledding and Annie getting hit in the head w/a horseshoe. Board is bright, clean and Exc. Superb graphics throughout. Second game features same lid illustration, though side panels have no illustrations. Box is smaller 8.5x16.5x.75" deep size. This was the less expensive version of the game described above, and features a 16" square game board w/same illustrations and five generic wooden playing pieces and separate spinner. Contents are complete and lightly aged. VF/Exc. Box bottom has one corner split, but lid remains tight. One corner has .75" area of surface paper missing, but rest of lid has only lt. edge/corner tip wear. VF overall. This smaller version is scarcer than larger version.
