Item Description
1.5" in copper. Obverse has his full name and togated bust while reverse displays an eagle. DeWitt lists this piece as WHH 1840-6 in white metal. DeWitt notes that this obverse with this reverse, appearing to be from an earlier Jackson piece, did not appear until the 1860 period when it was stated that 25 copies were struck in copper and white metal. This piece has a couple of hairline die marks at the upper left and one of these also appears in DeWitt's illustration. NM with much luster. Rare.
