Item Description
1.25” with no back paper or maker name. This is Hake #2018 with 2004 guide value of $4,000.00. This is among the very best designed and most desired Al Smith buttons. This example has three celluloid cracks. One about .5” long crosses the word “Liberty” and goes into his face below his eye at left. The other runs across the top of the name “Smith” and then crosses below his chin. Vertically there is a much smaller 3/16” crack running between the two horizontal just to the left of his portrait. The cracks show only slightly visually although they are noticeable to the touch. The button has absolutely no stain and it retains its intense color and full gloss.
