Item Description
Original cardboard box contains 11" long tin litho remote-controlled propeller passenger plane toy. Cragstan. c. late 1950s. DC-7Cs were actual planes introduced by Pan-Am in late 1950 and were among the last of the long distance prop-driven airplanes. Used for long oversea flights, these planes were noted for their food and superior service. Illustrated box lid has some creases and inward warp but corners remain free of splits. VG/Fine. Box bottom shows heavy wear and is Good. Remote functions work, moves forward and reverse and all four propellers move (though one is a bit temperamental). Toy has some small paint nicks/scratches to fuselage and tailfins. Fine overall. Nice depiction of an actual plane used for just a short time. Scarce toy.
