Item Description
Original cardboard box w/nicely illustrated lid contains 18" long w/19" wingspan tin litho and plastic passenger airliner. Made in Japan by Tomy/Rosko, 1960s. Large and impressive plane w/interesting features and design. Cockpit is opened manually and by operating levers in front of the small plastic pilots the following functions occur - toy moves forward, four plastic propellers turn (two at a time) and tiny stewardess figure goes up and down the aisle in a cabin revealed by a clear plastic cover, turns around and repeats the motion. While all this is going on, red and green lights on tips of wings blink. All functions work well. Has "American Airlines" printed portholes and small "American Airlines" eagle logo. Plane has a few pinpoint paint nicks. A few tiny scratches on clear plastic covers of cockpit and passenger area, however plane is Exc. overall w/original cardboard box insert and instruction sheet present. Box features great illustration of plane itself as well as plane in flight and portrait images of pilot and stewardess. Box lid has lt. wear/aging and is VF overall.
