Rare 1940s newspaper promotional button is 1.5" dia. w/image of The Spirit w/"Extra...16 Page Comic Book - Star Journal - Every Sunday" text. c. 1942. No backpaper as issued. Exc. Scarce and one of two different designs used, other design featured a different image of The Spirit. Comes w/7.5x10.25" promotional newspaper comic book insert printed by The Chicago Sun on Sunday, March 11, 1945 and features story/art by comic book legend Will Eisner. Issue features Eisner's masked crimefighter The Spirit. Issue has lt. handling wear as well as usual and expected aging to newsprint. Fine.
