Item Description
1.25" brass rim holding celluloid with reverse metal back suspending trio of 3" ribbons. Metal back also has soldered stickpin. The celluloid includes the state name "Illinois" along with overlapping letters forming the groups logo. The ribbon references "25(th) Annual Convention R.L.D. Of A. Of Ill. Belleville, Ill. Sept. 20-21-04." The initials stand for Retail Liquor Dealers Of America. The following year this group became National Liquor League Of America. The off-white ribbon has two small spots of fabric off the side edges and a horizontal crease near the top but overall in Fine condition with clean and glossy celluloid. A very Rare and very limited convention badge for a group obviously in opposition to Prohibition.
