Item Description
Each is 1.5". In 1977, Milk ran and won the position of San Francisco City Supervisor. In 1978, former Supervisor Dan White assassinated both Milk and Mayor Mosconi. White offered the famous "Twinkie" defense at his trial. Nine days before Milk was assassinated he said "If A Bullet Should Enter My Brain, Let That Bullet Destroy Every Closet Door." Milk was among the country's first openly gay politicians. The button picturing him reads "Milk For Supervisor." The text button reads "Harvey Milk For Supervisor." The third button is memorial from the time and reads simply "Harvey Milk." All three buttons are Essentially Mint and from Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
