Item Description
Five piece lot. The April 1972 issue of Cosmopolitan had an almost nude
centerfold of Burt Reynolds. J. Ward took advantage of this and came out with an
almost nude Bullwinkle in the same pose as Reynolds. Caption over Bullwinkle
read "Eat Your Heart Out Burt Reynolds." It was made into a 20.5x54" poster.
Someone (possibly Cosmopolitan or Reynolds) sued Ward and poster was reissued
without the words Burt Reynolds. First item in this lot is a 8.75x11.75 art
image cel in 12x15" mat. Cel text overlay. Next is a 10.75x13.5" printed glossy
of the poster with Ward copyright in bottom right. Third is 22x33.5" poster
without Reynolds mention matted to 27x38". Fourth is rolled copy of 20.5x54"
poster with the original caption "Eat Your Heart Out Burt Reynolds!" Final item
is an unused iron-on transfer. Large poster is rolled. Other items are Exc. c.
