Item Description
First is 1.25" button promoting the serialization of his story of his flight in the Philadelphia newspaper. This reads "'We' In The Bulletin" The title "We" refers to how Lindbergh always referred jointly to himself and his plane as "We." NM. Second is 2" tall large die-cut celluloid with moveable stick pin at top. This piece was used as a promotional for the City Of St. Louis. Text reads "The Spirit Of St. Louis Invites You." Reverse has W&H early patent date but the piece is c.1930. The plane was named for the city as the financing for the project came from a St. Louis bank and several businessmen. Next are a pair of buttons from the 50th Anniversary in 1977. The 1.5" pictures him and his plane and the 2.25" pictures only the plane and was an issue by the "National Air & Space Museum/Smithsonian Institution/Washington, D.C." Both of these are Essentially Mint. They saw quite limited distribution.
