Auction #209 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1144 in auction 209
Item Description
Each is 1.25" with a bar pin across the reverse. The version usually seen has the area designated "Paris" in green enamel. The other two color variations are the only two examples we have seen in some forty years. Each has raised text on the rim reading "New York To Paris In 33 Hours/May 21 1927." Land area at left is designated "N.Y." Lindy's plane flies over the ocean area towards "Paris" at the right. Most silver flashing is off the rim of the rarity showing the ocean in a rosy pink color. Other than that the condition of all three is NM with no enamel damage.
