Item Description
Each thin art board has 4.75x17 3/8” India ink image area w/three panels. Both have 1972 Field Enterprises copyright text. “B.C.” strip dated “7-17” has B.C. coming up to “Peter’s Health Spa” rock with a headache. Peter says “Take Two Sunflower Seeds And Call Me In The Morning”. Art board is signed “Best-Johnny Hart” in ink in top margin. “The Wizard Of Id” dated “11-10” has The Duke holding mirror telling the “Wiz” he needs something to make his teeth whiter. The impatient wizard changes his mirror into a sun lamp. Art is signed “B.Parker” in ink at the bottom of panel three and signed again “Best- Johnny Hart and B. Parker” in ink in top margin. “Id” strip has some white-out in panel two, both originals otherwise Exc. Pair come with 1973 folded typewritten signed letter on “Johnny Hart” letterhead showing both characters as sent to Pa. school teacher for art exhibit. Worn mailing envelope just comes along. Funny examples of two well drawn originals.
