Item Description
Long 2.75" pin joining 7/8" brass which has a symbolic fan depicted at the center and in turn with a raised white enamel baseball at its center. Text surrounds the figural fan which includes a small handle extending downwards. This piece would have been make c.1909 as Cubs won back-to-back World Series championships in 1907 and 1908 becoming the first Major League club to play three times in the Series and the first to win it twice. Reverse of the piece has raised text "Brunner Bros. Co./Cleveland, O. Pat. Apd. For." Lower edge of ball has slightly toned spot on the white enamel but very minor and the piece retains Exc. luster. One seen.
