Item Description
Complete story art from “Rangers Comics” #14 Dec. 1943. Each thin art board has 13x18” India ink image area. Storyline has female British intelligence officer using pretty girl to get Ensign Dewey, the Sea Devil, and his friend to search for Nazi subs. They almost get trapped, but sink two subs. Pages have margin dust soil and editorial notes, story text is missing here and there leaving glue stains, scattered use of white-out. Image areas range from VG to Fine. Well drawn and historic early work by Ingels, who began his comic book career the same year this was published. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection. Comes w/COA.
