Item Description
Original illustrated die-cut cardboard box contains 7.25x6.75x2" deep hard plastic hinged-lid kit by Regis Space Toys. c. 1950s. Front has embossed "Space Patrol Emergency Kit" name on front, raised space compass on reverse and rocketship flashlight handle. Inside lid has embossed "International Morse Code." Handle flashlight does not work. Box has two removable drawers included in cardboard box insert along w/adhesive bandages, gauze and adhesive tape. Box also contains four small empty "Space Emergency Rations" boxes. Text on boxes include "Approved By Space Patrol - For Emergency Use Only - Space Patrol Emergency Kit Ration Container - Container For Dry Cereals - Dry Fruits - Sugar Cubes - Chocolate - Use Sparingly And For Emergencies Only." Boxes show little to no wear and are empty as issued. Kit also contains two small glass bottles w/plastic lids. Each has different label reading "Cosmic Ray Pills" and "Space Sickness Pills." Bottles are empty and Exc. 100% complete. Kit contents are Exc. overall. Box shows moderate wear w/numerous creases by die-cut display lid and some color touch-ups. 2.75" cardboard piece restored by die-cut opening. VG. Extremely rare, this is the only example of this kit we have offered or seen boxed as such. Rare. One of the ultimate 1950s space show items.
