Item Description
There are 19 buttons 1" to 1.75" plus one beautifully colored celluloid bookmark picturing "The Betsy Ross House." (see related item #14). Buttons include three from 1898 Spanish-American War era. Third in row one has hairline .25" cello crack but all other items in this group are Exc. to Mint with the only additional exception the last item in row three which has tiny speck of celluloid off bottom edge. Cities referenced in the group include Elgin, Minnesota from 1908, Syracuse from 1915, Topeka from 1917, Bronx from 1914, Fort Lee, N.J. from 1926, and West Point outing from 1939. Others are largely undated but majority are from the 1920s and 1930s. Final seven items include Irish and/or Italian themes. An outstanding group of flag motif buttons.
